Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pains In The Shoulder

I am a 49 yr old woman . I was woke up in the middle of the night with sharp pains in my left shoulder. very uncomfortable and felt as if my arm was going numb - along with the sweats.
took 2 aspirins and it lasted about 25 min . should I be concerned? I still have discomfort in my arm and in the back middle of my shoulder
