Suggest Treatment For Shingles And Painful Rash On Side Of Body

I have a rash on my left side and diagnosed with shingles but I feel I have a virus - I got the rash with pain on return from Fuerteventura 5 weeks ago - I have taken steroids, Famvir and Lyrica and still have the nerve pain - I am just wondering could I have picked up something in the Canaries - it is not going away
