Suggest Treatment For Shingles On The Breast

hi doctor, i'm a 26 year old female. i was diagnosed with shingles yesterday. it's a small patch about the size of a my palm and it's on my right breast. i was prescribed anti viral pills and an anti viral cream.
the prescribing doctor didn't mention anything about me being contagious, and i live with my boyfriend who has never had chicken pox.. i guess it's a bit late for separate rooms..
should i cover my the shingles with a gauze or something? or is it best to let it breathe?
the doctor also ordered a blood test to check for pregnancy. could there be any complications if i am pregnant, with shingles and taking all of the anti virals?
thank you in advance for your help!!
