Suggest Treatment For Skin Darkening From Bleaching

A few years ago I bought an over the counter facial hair bleach cream (I have facial hair and decided not to wax/thread it; instead I decided to bleach it)..... as I left it on face for few minutes longer than the advised time I noticed my cheeks went bright red. I washed it off with cold water however as I was washing it off I did rub my face and was left with dark brown patches on both cheeks..
I have used almond oil, vitamin and vitamin rich creams as well as Primrose oil without any success. is there any treatments available to treat any permanent facial burns due to bleaching?
