Suggest Treatment For Small Lump On The Tongue

I have what appears to be a small bump or pimple on the front left edge of my tongue, that is very tender almost feels like a paper cut. It started about seven days ago and does not seem to be getting better or worse but still very annoying. Is there anything I can put on it for some relief.
