Suggest Treatment For Sore Knot On Shin Bone

Hi, I have a small knot on my shin bone just above my left ankle that is slightly sore to the touch. I have not been injured that I know of, and I thought it would go away, but it has been there for 10 months. I am 26 years old, 5'7" and 125 lbs. I have no history of health problems.
