Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat After Breathing In Engine Oil Fumes

I have been breathing motor oil fumes for about three weeks now on my drive to and from work. I've had a sore throat for about two of those weeks. I'm guessing these are related. Is it dangerous to have been doing it this long? Should I see my PCP about the sore throat or will it take care of itself once I get rid of the problematic car and fumes?
