Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Cough Due To Sinus Infection

Yes hello, I coughed really hard last night due to remaining sinus infection and a piece of my throat is dangling.. I called an Ent for an appointment but no appt til next Monday should I gonto ER? My throat is sore where the flesh is and looks very odd!
