Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Phlegm In Lungs

I have been sick for the last 2 weeks. It started with extremely sore throat and now i have phlegm in my lungs (ugly dark green) and mucus in my sinuses. I have visited the doctor who haven't properly looked at my throat, and prescribed codeine with some decongestants. I don't seem to be getting better at all.
