Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Swollen Tonsils

I ve had this pea sized bump on my left tonsil and I just coughed and it came out . I pressed on it and blood poured out. Should I be concerned? I have only smoked cigarettes for a little over a year however I just recently developed this chronic cough and therefore my throat is sore and my tonsils are swollen. I ve had countless sore throats that come out of nowhere and Its never over in just a few days. Advice on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated.
