Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

about a week ago now i had a bad sore throat. about half way threw the healing process i started getting sharp pains on the left side of my rib cage. i went to the doctor and he said i had an air pocket the size of a volley ball and gave me three different medications on top of the antibiotic i was taking for the sore throat, he said the antibiotic is probably what caused it but its been 3 days later now and the pain is still pretty severe. i also go in and out with fever and nausea. just wanting a second opinion
