Suggest Treatment For Sore Thumb Nails And Itchy During Night

I have been unable to sleep lately, I keep feeling the need to push my index fingernails against my thumb cuticals, it calms me down.But it leaves my thumbs sore afterwards. I am also extremely irritable and itchy in general at night lately and cannot sleep. I am in good shape and have no health problems. Please help
