Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Blood Accumulation In Cuticle Of Toenail
I have a fracture in my big toe and a black nail. The doctor in emergency pierced the nail on the first day but not much came out and then he strapped the big toe to my second toe as a splint.
Two day later I went to my appointment to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon and he said that the tape was too tight this is why I was in horrendous pain and the nail was separating from the skin. He prescribed me Tramadol for pain to take alongside with the Celebrex and Amoxicillin I was already perscribed.
This afternoon I woke up and now the cuticle of my big toe has ballooned and is full of blood.
Should I leave this and carry on with elevation and ice and my meds? Or should it be drained?
The surgeon yesterday said he wouldn't of even pierced the nail and it's sparated from the nail bed so there is room for it to expand anyway. This blood blister is so big and horrid. What shall I do?
