Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Bruising On Knee

I ve always had knee problems, but tonight I got up, and my knee was swollen, bruised, and couldn t put any weight on it without it trying to give up. I currently have a heating pad on it, and have taken ibproufen and it s not helping but only making it feel worse. What should I do?
