Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Infection In Thumb

my thumb is swollen and infected,i went to hospital and they gave me antibiotic and pain pills,it seems like is not working,i took a splinter off in the middle of my thumb that s how it got infected,my thumb is still swollen and puss keep coming out off my thumb,i been following the direction on the medication,now my thumb is getting black,dont know what to do
