Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Outer Ear

My outer ear is swollen and red and rough feeling. behind it, it is also red and rough and kind looks like a rash. it doesn't hurt or itch. I first noticed it last night and it hasn't really gotten any worse since then. I took benedryl thinking that it might be an allergic reaction to something but i dont think it really helped.
