Suggest Treatment For Swelling On Left Index Finger

About 3 hours ago for no apparent reason my left index finger started swelling. Now I am experiencing a tingling sensation in my entire left arm (as if my arm is falling asleep). I am a 35 yo overweight     female. I have been diagnosed withhigh blood pressure. I do not wish to go to the hospital if it is not an emergency but I am starting to get a little worried...
