Suggest Treatment For Swollen Penis

My boyfriend caught his penis in his zipper a few days ago has been to the doctor got cream and pain killer but its still swollen and he can t pull the fore skin back to put cream on the cut is there anything we can do to stop the pain and bring the swelling down?
