Suggest Treatment For Swollen Red Throbbing Pain After Cat Bite

HI I got bit by my newly adopted shelter kitten last night on my little finger. I had a doctor here where I work take a quick look at it and he gave me a prescription for antibiotics which I will start tonight. Since I've been using my hands to type and write at work, the site is more swollen, red and throbbing. I iced it but that didn't take the pain away. I also took some Ibuprofen which didn't help at all. Is there anything else I should try?
