Suggest Treatment For Swollen Spot On Inside Of Lower Lip

My son has a swollen spot on the inside of his lower lip that looks like an ulcer but is swollen. I took him to a family dr but they gave us some sort of numbing med because they thought he was biting at it. But it is still there. Doesn't hurt, just bothersome. What type of specialist can treat this?
