Suggest Treatment For Tearing Of Skin On Nipples After Piercing Them

Three weeks ago I got my nipples pierced. I think the piercing may be tearing a little bit because its getting very close to the tip of the nipple. Should I take the piercing out before it tears more? or leave it in and hope everything heals correctly?
