Suggest Treatment For The Presence Of E Coli In Nasal Cavity

Just returned from my ENT and he said a culture of left nasal passage detected ecoli. He prescribed 2 antibiotics ( haven't picked them up yet). Started reading about the diagnosis and read that antibiotics were not recommended. Does that refer to only ecoli in intestines? Unsure what to do.
