Suggest Treatment For Thickened Skin On The Face

I have an area on my face near my mouth on both sides of thickened skin. I recently had a co2 laser treatment and the skin has thickened again. It is bumpy and scaly feeling.I am using a cream called desonide 0.05% twice a day. It doesn't seem to be able to treat this area so the skin feels smooth. What would you recommend for treatment?
