Suggest Treatment For Throat Irritation

I have a dry cough, not continous. My throat is irritated and my throat feels thick. My glands in neck feels sore. I thought allergies because I have no congestions in my chest. It is all in my throat and I feel that it is hard to swallow and thickness in my throat.
