Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain And Ear Pain

Hi, i think its just a cold, during winter, im 15, my throats terribly saw, been like this for a couple of days now, its my upper throat, and when i swallow, it hurts, and I woke up with an ear ache, a terrible ear ache, I know it my sound strange but its better to make sure its not anything such as throat cancer, right?
