Suggest Treatment For Tinnitus Caused After Putting Oil In Ear

I had a throat infection and a fever a few days ago. The fever subsided within a day or two but the throat infection persisted. Eventually I started having ear ache in my left ear and then someone suggested I used hot sesame seed oil to relieve the pain. A few drops were dropped into my ear and for a second it burnt badly and then the burning was gone. A few hours later the ear ache was gone too but I ve had tinnitus since then. Its been over 4 days and its starting to concern me. Could the hot oil may have ruptured or damaged my ear drum? I m starting to panic now.
