Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis

Hi there, Since the 12th I have has rather severe tonsillitis. I am travelling in China. They gave me IV antibiotics for 4 days, after which it was still painful and i still felt dizzy and weak. Then they gave me a blood test said i was ok and i just had to rest. Tonsils still covered in white cement like stuff. THen after 2 days it got worse so I went to the biggest hospital in the nearest city. THey gave me 4 more days of IV antibiotics. No its finished, i feel alittle better but tonsils are still painful and i am still dizzy and weak, and still covered in white stuff. I will see the doctor again tomorrow. Should i continue with the same IV antibiotics, switch type, or ask to switch to Oral antibiotics? I still can't sleep well because tonsils are very large and painful, and i feel generally sick.
