Suggest Treatment For Uncomfortable And Irregular Bowel Movements

Hello; I m 28 year old female having bowel troubles lately. I ve always been pretty regular however, I ve recently decreased my amount of exercise, diet changed over the holidays of coarse & have been a little more stressed than usual. I visited the doctor Wednesday for what I believe was a hemorrhoid and constipation. She suggested a stool softener or laxative since there had been no bleeding in the past few days. I took the laxative, had a watery BM Thursday morning and have been unable to poop since. I ve been trying to eat more vegetables to stimulate the process but no success. Please help. Thank you.
