Suggest Treatment For Upper Respiratory Infection

my son is 3.5 and has had several upper respiratory infections I think he is brewing another one now high temp, cough etc but he has also starting stammering out of the blue could this be linked to an infection. he had pneumonia a year ago and prior to that again started stammering
