My wife 71 yr have been having E coli. Her latest Urine routine on 02/11/10 shows Pus cell 18-20 WBC/HPF. Epethelial cells - ++in fair numbers. She had been on NITROFURANTOIN-10X 3 times for 10 days.
Prior to it on 16/10/10 pus cells 40-75 WBC/HPF Epethilical cells + (in small nos.) and Ecoli 10/5 (in culture). Sensetive to - Imipenem, Nitrofurantoin, Amikacin, Meropenem, Tigbycycline.
There is opinion no further action as she had been asymptomatic. Is it curable? Then what next? Prognosis also pl. RN Khatry-Mob.0000
