Suggest Treatment For Warts On Fingers

Hi, for the past several weeks, I have noticed small bumps appearing on my fingers, and some of them itch. I showed them to my family doctor, and he says that they are warts. They keep multiplying, but they are very small, and do not get much bigger than the tip of a pencil. I did put an over-the-counter wart band-aid on one of the areas, and it killed the entire area of my skin on that one finger, and the warts disappeared, but I can't imagine putting those band-aids on every single one of my fingers, because it did hurt after I removed the band-aids. Are these really warts? I didn't think warts were supposed to itch. What causes this, and can I prevent them from reappearing? Also, it's important for you to know that I just found out that I'm pregnant...I'm 5 1/2 weeks along.

Thank you!
