My 13 year-old daughter has a wound on her labia. It started out as a sore the size of a flat pea and is now as big as a nickle. The urgent care doctor put her on an antibiotic but changed it when the wound grew bigger. At first he thought is was an abscess on a gland, but it is in the wrong place. She has no fever, and is on Cipro 2X a day (she has taken three doses thus far). Her labia is very swollen and very painful. The belief is that the infection was caused by a dirty Jacuzzi. How long should we wait to go back to the doctor.
