Suggest Treatment To Alleviate The Pain In Foot Of A Diabetic

Having terrible pain in left foot to the left of ball of foot. Have diabetes and neuropathy but never this bad. Is there any thing I can do for the pain when it occurs again? . My doctor just increased my zocor to 2 pills a nights about 2 weeks ago. I told her about my neuropathy. She told me to stop taking if problem gets worse so I am stopping tonight but what can I do for relieve.
