Suggest Treatment To Get Rid Of Burn Scar On My Hand

i have a 14 yrs old big keloid scar on my left hand due to burn by hot oil...i tried pressure bands,silicon sheets and steroid injections...i tried everything but nothing worked..now doctor is suggesting to undergo surgical removal and than covering it by normal skin adjacent to the scar which has been extened by expanders...doctor says that since the skin flap is extension of normal skin and has contineous supply of blood so success chances are very big....should i go for it...m afraid what if after excision keloid reappers
