Suggest Ways Of Birth Control

I am on birth control pills. I have been taking one a day since January and since May I have been having a period every other week. I have an appointment to see a doctor but it is a six month wait (I am going to a new GP because I am not a fan of my old one as she has given me a few different birth controls and gets mad when I say I do not like how they are fitting with my body) What should I do until I see a doctor? Continue taking them or stop taking them? Should I be worried if I do continue taking them?
