Hello. I m a 56 year old female, and I ve had symptoms of fibromyalgia for 20 years. In 2012, I was bitten by a tick and had the symptoms of severe headaches, severe fatigue, swollen lymph glands in my neck, sensitivity to light (for months). I was treated with antibiotics for 3 rounds over about 6 months because it kept coming back. I was on low dose cortef for adrenal problems, and my GP said I had to discontinue it to clear the infection. After about a year or so, I began feeling more like myself. However, ever since then, I have absolutely no exercise tolerance in my muscles. I did lay around a lot that year, but it s been 2 years now and I am really so frustrated. I am trying to repaint my kitchen cabinets and I went up and down the ladder for a little while on Saturday. My calves have not permitted me to walk for 3 days. Tonight is the first time I ve been able to walk! Do you have any suggestions for me as far as getting maybe a brain scan or anything to see if I have neurological damage? I am currently on disability due to: hypothyroid, diabetes, fibromyalgia, herniated discs and stenosis in my spine (upper and lower). Not a good scenario. But, I want desperately to lose weight and exercise, but I can t. Help!
