Suggest Ways To Manage Painful Bruise On Leg

I took a fall a week ago and bruised the front of my leg, about half way between my knee and my ankle. It took a day or so for the bruise to be visible (although it was painful from the onset). What is troubling is that it has been a week and the bruised area is warm to the touch.
