Symptoms: Pricking In Throat Mainly At Night; Cough--productive At Night,

Symptoms: pricking in throat mainly at night; cough--productive at night, dry cough (minimal) during day hours; no nasal congestion or runny nose. Disrupted sleep for 3 nights now.....I have a bottle of mucinex fast-max severe congestion & cough (with no dosage cup....must have misplaced). Is this appropriate medicine for my symptoms, and, if so, what dose should I take?
