TSH W/REFLEX TO FT4:5.21. My Test Came In This Way

TSH W/REFLEX TO FT4:5.21. My test came in this way and as I surfed in net I got to know that the range can vary in between 0.5-5.0.when compared to mine I have 5.21 which is slight difference to normal. But my physician noted it as a very high range and suggested me to start using tablets with synthesis 25 mcg 3 days in a week. And I need to know is it a hypo thyroid or hyper thyroid?I'm confused to start using the tablets or not to. I'm still 23 years old and not willing start using the tablets from this age.so please suggest me to start the medication or not.
