Thank You For Offering Your Expertise This Evening. I've Just

Thank you for offering your expertise this evening. I've just received a message from my doctor's officer that today's ultrasound found a "cystic area" in my bladder and that my doctor is ordering a CT pelvic scan. I've been feeling a burning sensation when urinating for the past few months, off and on, and recently passed blood on two occasions. Now, my mind has gone to the scariest scenario as my father died of kidney cancer and mother of renal failure. I'm a fairly tough cookie (battled microscopic colitis this past summer and seem much better) and am wondering if this new issue is somehow connected. Also, of course, I want immediate reassurance that this isn't cancer--which I know requires more testing. So, how likely is it that this is cancer? Could this be another form of my autoimmune battle? Thank you SO much for your generosity in helping me this evening! Rhonda Snover in Northern California
