Thank you for your reply and answer. Since I asked this question my wife lost her balance and the rod in her tibia shifted and the screws came loose which made the pain even worse and she had to have another surgery to correct the problem. The surgeon did a trauma surgery to remove some of the hardware and install one or two internal fixators to the tibia and now her pain has been minimal.
Thank you again for the response, we wish we could afford to sign up and get quicker answers and replies because sometimes things happen and no one is around.
