Thank You, My Husband 59 Yrs Old, Just Had Hip

Thank you, my husband 59 yrs old, just had hip replacement surgery in Feb. He's now experiencing swelling in the leg where the replacement occurred. He's has swelling from the knee on down to the foot, which is very swollen. Is this possibly a sign of a blood clot?
