Thanks! I'm having a broken ankle repaired tomorrow (will need a few screws). I'm getting around on a knee cart. I'm wondering how much pain medication I can take and stay on my cart! I have a decent pain tolerance. I'll have someone with me for a day or so after surgery, then friends nearby. I want to be able to get to the bathroom...so just enough pain med to reduce inflammation and allow me to get out of bed when I need to. Should I expect to stay in bed for the 1st 36hrs or so? I'm 57, and have been getting around well on my knee cart with a boot since my injury last week. Thanks again!
