The Back Of My Mouth And Roof Of Mouth Are

The back of my mouth and roof of mouth are yellow with red patches. It's been painful to swallow hard food for the past month and half, I told my primary and she was unsure where the pain was going from. Now I have pain throughout my throat, painful to swallow, and yellow roof of mouth and back w/ red dots sprinkled throughout the yellow. My tongue is normal no yellow on it or any other color issues. Should I go see Ear,Nose,and throat Doctor? What could this be?
