The Doctor Told Me I Tested Positive For HSV2 But

The doctor told me I tested positive for HSV2 but it was really low and that I don't need treatment. The doctor also stated something about false-positive, I don't know what that means. I've researched online and saw that I should order a western blot test because that's the most accurate test. I wanted to know if that is true? And is there a possible way that my second test can come back negative?
