The Inside Of My Belly Button Is Swollen And Really

The inside of my belly button is swollen and really red I just recently got done having a stomach virus and the symptoms went away (diarrhea, etc) well just recently it's been about a week since I've had the virus just recently I am having diarrhea again only this time I'm having a very sharp pain beneath my belly button and it appears to be swollen and red what might this be I talked to my aunt whom is a doctor and she told me too seek attention from a gastroenterologist as she thinks it's appendicitis due to the bacterial virus I just got over with please help it's getting so painful to even walk thanks you!
