The Inside Of My Mouth Feels Weird, Kinda Like Mild

The inside of my mouth feels weird, kinda like mild sand paper. There's no pain. Brushing my teeth helps and it's better in the morning than at night. I'm trying to think of it I ate anything out of the ordinary, but I can't think of anything. I have been under stress. Could that cause this?
