The Left Side Of My Jaw Towards The Back, I

The left side of my jaw towards the back, I think where your salivary gland is located? Swells up, it's voluntary and only happens when there's pressure to my head. Such as lifting weights, bowel movements or if I'm sleeping on my left side. I have suspicion maybe it's my vein swelling? Or maybe something else? Thank you
