The Main Reason For This Question, Is My Wife's Fingers

The main reason for this question, is my wife's fingers mainly on the right hand have become still in the full extended position, finger tips sort of pointing up. I tried to gently bend the fingers but they feel redistricted from bending, the other hand I can bend the fingers at the second joint, but not the right hand; her knuckles look red and shine . History:My wife has been bed ridden after her legs would not hold her up,since last labor day, Sept 8, she had been to hospital they gave EMG test in hospital room, report stated 'mind polyneuropathy' in the legs.
she spent two weeks in a rehabilitation nursing care center where she required two nurse aids to dress her and lift her with a 'hoyer' lift to a wheel chair. during her stay there she only had 3 PT treatment do to the aids not getting her diaper changed and transferred to a wheel chair.
Now I have been caring for her in a home hospital bed she had bed sores I am dressing each day also.
