The Outer Corner Of Both Of My Eyes Are Sore

The outer corner of both of my eyes are sore and red, believe that it started because I had dry skin around my eyelids during winter and did not treat it. It was nothing more than a bit of dry skin until I started using E45 on it which at first i thought was helping but after a week or so started to make my eyes sting and left me with the sores.
It has been around 1 month since I used the E45 but it has still not healed.
